About Me

I come from Sichuan Province in China. I graduated from Luzhou High School in 2005 and went to Beijing Institute of Technology in the same year. I am studying English Bridging Course at NIE in Singapore now. I am interested in playing table tennis and badminton. And I also like swimming. I have got several prizes on maths, chemistry and programming during the years I was studying in secondary school. For my future study, I plan to choose mathematics and economics as my major in NTU.

What I’ve learned at NIE.

I have been studying at NIE for about 5 months, and I have learned a lot during this period of time. Firstly, my English skills improved a lot. We have English courses on reading, writing, listening as well as oral communication. I could write much longer essay than before, listen to English radio with better comprehension. The speed and accuracy of reading are also improved significantly. And I have more confident to speak English than before. Secondly, I leaned much about the city of Singapore. The tutor not only taught us language, but also taught us the history, culture and other interesting information of Singapore. I think this is quite useful for us. Besides, I also learned team work in this English Bridging Course. Since there are many projects we had to finish with a team, we learned to cooperate with each other, which is important in our future study.
